We use hemp seed and cold-pressed hemp seed oil in our product line. Although hemp is a varietal classified under the genus Cannabis, it has a major differentiation; hemp does not have a psychoactive. Hemp can not get a pet (or a person) ‘high’.
CBD (Cannabidiol) is currently still a controlled substance.
We do see some amazing benefits from CBD and we may choose to add it to our products in the future. We want to make sure that it is regulated, thoroughly tested, and the proper dosing has been indicated by the scientific community.
Our products DO NOT contain CBD. Our formulations combine hemp seed with active ingredients; creating a synergistic effect. We have seen great results and have some fantastic testimonials about the efficacy of our products.
Our line is formulated for dogs and therefore we cannot recommend that it is safe for a cat. We are planning a launch for a cat line, so please do keep in touch with us and follow us on our social media channels to keep up to date on our progress.
For usage instructions, please see the label of the product in question. (Please note this amount is only for the OregaPet product and not for human grade Oil of Oregano)
Regarding substitutions for antibiotics, we are not qualified to recommend that course of action to you. Please do consult your veterinarian and/or holistic veterinarian to discuss your pet's unique situation and whether they can be treated with Oil of Oregano.
1. The active ingredients have been improved, from glucosamine to green lipped mussel (GLM), as a result of our veterinary scientific meta-analysis. Green lipped mussel is a highly bio-available anti-inflammatory product with exceptional scientific and anecdotal evidence.
2. The meat base was changed from chicken to salmon, as salmon is proving to be far less allergenic for the majority of our canine consumers.
Please use our recommended usage instructions on each label as a guide, based on your dog's weight. As indicated on the label, we suggest splitting the daily amount into two portions (one portion to be given in the morning and one in the evening).
This has been known to happen from time to time. From our experience, some stomach upset may occur, as with eating a bag of any delicious item. Please consult your veterinarian if you have any concerns.
